The Global Festival - Coming November 13, 2011

VOLUNTEERS

The MSU Global Festival needs volunteers. Time commitments are for both long-term and short-term participation. The Global Festival Committee meets once in the summer and bi-monthly in September, October and November.

The Global Festival Committee plans and organizes the Festival and works closely with staff in the MSU Union and Office for International Students and Scholars. The Global Festival is held in the MSU Student Union (view mapOpens in new window) on a Sunday afternoon in mid-November.

The Global Festival Committee welcomes volunteers to assist with the following:

  • Helping to publicize the Global Festival throughout the greater Lansing area on the Public Relations Committee.
  • Sorting and pricing donated international items as a member of the World Gift Shop Committee. Organizing the set-up for the World Gift Shop in the MSU Union on the Saturday and Sunday of the Festival week-end.
  • Working with the Welcome Tables Committee to arrange for the five welcome tables in the MSU Student Union.

On the day of the festival, volunteers are needed to staff the World Gift Shop and the welcome tables and assist in cleaning up when the festival is over.
